AMELUZ® (aminolevulinic acid HCl) topical gel, 10% and BF‑RhodoLED® red light work together
The use of AMELUZ® with nanoemulsion technology, in combination with the red light of BF‑RhodoLED®, enables PpIX formation and activation in the deeper layers of the epidermis to help treat the field of both clinical and subclinical lesions.
BF‑RhodoLED® red light penetrates deeper than light of shorter wavelengths. This helps to ensure activation of PpIX as far down as the deepest layers of the epidermis, where actinic keratosis (AKs) originate.
BLU-U®
In addition to its actinic keratoses indication (see above), BLU-U Blue Light Photodynamic Therapy is also a non-drug therapy for moderate acne. The BLU-U is a unique, specially designed blue light that kills the P. acnes bacteria in your skin. BLU-U acne treatments are gentle and typically well tolerated by patients.
